Bow Removals Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Bow Removals in relation to our financial year and sets out the steps we are taking to identify, prevent, and address the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains.
Bow Removals recognises that modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It can take many forms, including forced labour, servitude, human trafficking, and child labour. We are fully committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place in any part of our business or our supply chains.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Bow Removals operates a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We will not knowingly conduct business with any individual or organisation that is involved in or associated with modern slavery practices.
All directors, employees, contractors, and agency workers are required to act in accordance with this policy and uphold our ethical standards. Any breach of this policy by our staff may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract. Where suppliers or other business partners are found to be in breach, we reserve the right to terminate the relationship and take any other appropriate action.
Our Supply Chain and Supplier Audits
Our operations involve a range of suppliers, including vehicle and equipment providers, storage facilities, packaging material suppliers, and labour service providers. We recognise that risks of modern slavery can arise at various levels within these supply chains.
We are committed to working only with suppliers who share our standards. As part of our due diligence processes, we assess new suppliers on their ethical practices, including their approach to labour standards, worker welfare, and compliance with modern slavery legislation.
Supplier audits form a key part of our risk management. These may include on-site visits where appropriate, requests for documentation demonstrating compliance with labour and human rights standards, and reviews of suppliers policies and procedures on modern slavery. Where higher risks are identified, we will seek additional assurances, require corrective action plans, or reconsider the continuation of the business relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Responsibilities
Responsibility for overseeing our response to modern slavery sits with senior management, who ensure that appropriate policies, procedures, and controls are in place and communicated across the business.
We provide relevant training and guidance to employees, particularly those involved in procurement, contract management, site operations, and recruitment. This training helps staff recognise potential indicators of modern slavery, understand the steps to take if they have concerns, and appreciate the importance of maintaining ethical supply chains.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Bow Removals encourages a culture of openness and accountability. We expect employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to raise concerns about potential or suspected modern slavery in our operations or supply chains, without fear of retaliation.
Concerns can be raised directly with line managers, senior management, or through our internal reporting channels, which allow issues to be reported confidentially. All reports will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and handled sensitively. Where appropriate, we will involve relevant external authorities and cooperate fully with any investigations.
We are committed to protecting those who raise genuine concerns in good faith. Victimisation or retaliation against anyone reporting a concern will not be tolerated and will be treated as a serious disciplinary matter.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Bow Removals recognises that the risk of modern slavery is dynamic and evolving. We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach through ongoing risk assessment, enhanced due diligence, and engagement with suppliers and stakeholders.
This Modern Slavery Statement and our associated policies and procedures are reviewed at least annually by senior management. The review considers changes in legislation, industry best practice, the effectiveness of our existing measures, and any incidents or concerns that have arisen.
Where improvements are identified, we will update our processes, training, and supplier requirements accordingly. By doing so, we aim to strengthen our defences against modern slavery and uphold our responsibility to respect the rights and dignity of all individuals who may be affected by our business activities.
This statement has been approved by the management of Bow Removals and will be updated each year to reflect our ongoing commitment and progress.
